Faulty or Misdescribed Items Your Rights: Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, you are entitled to a refund, repair, or replacement if goods are of unsatisfactory quality, unfit for purpose, or not as described.

Timeframes: You can claim a full refund for a faulty item within 30 days. After 30 days but within six months, the retailer gets one chance to repair or replace the item before you can claim a refund. After six months, you still give the retailer one chance, but you may only get a partial refund and must prove the fault existed at purchase.

Proof of Purchase: A receipt is best.
